RV BLACK TANK / WASTE TANK EXTREME CLEANER
The Extreme Black Holding Tank Cleaner by Happy Campers is just that — Extreme!
This product is for use to totally clean RV & Marine black or gray waste holding tanks.
This is NOT a regular maintenance treatment, this product is designed to totally clean your holding tank when you know you've got a problem.
We highly recommend that you watch the video in the Video Tab to see what comes out of your holding tank even if you thought it was fairly clean — you'll be surprised.
USES:
1) Thoroughly Clean holding tanks
2) Cleans poor working sensors.
3) Softens & removes solid buildup.
4) You just bought your RV & want to super clean the tanks for a fresh start.
5) A great product for an annual clean out, especially when winterizing.
*Recommended for use in 30-60 gallon tanks.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Dump and Thoroughly Rinse Holding Tank
2. Put 3 to 4 gallons of hot water in a bucket, then add and mix in the entire container of Extreme Cleaner. Mix until fully dissolved.
3. Pour into toilet and flush. OR Pour down sink for gray tank.
4. Add 5-7 more gallons of water (if stationery completely fill tank)
5. For best results drive your RV or trailer on a good windy road to aggressively agitate and clean tank.
6. As soon as you are 'hooked up' dump the tank and rinse well.
Much like clothes in a washing machine, rinsing & agitation does most of the work, EXTREME CLEANER simply softens & helps dissolve sludge & crud in holding tanks. Use on-board or flexible down-the-toilet rinser for best results.
If your trailer/RV is not mobile:
Fill your holding tank as full as possible and add the entire container for treatment following step 2 above. Leave in your holding tank 48-72 hours before dumping.
Note: Holding tank sensors are historically temperamental, heavy cleaning will usually (but not always) restore scum crusted sensors. Stationary units require more rinsing with less success. Will not dissolve “wipes” or fix broken or corroded probes.
*This product is not intended to be a regular holding tank treatment or deodorant - this is a seasonal RV black tank cleaner.
USAGE: Happy Campers Holding Tank Treatment
1 Scoop Treats up to 40 Gallons
1) Prime holding tank by adding 1 gallon of water.
2) We recommend using a bucket or container to pre-mix by slowly sprinkling one scoop of HC while stirring into 1 gallon of water. Once product is suspended in water, then flush that down the toilet or pour down sink.
3) Lastly Add 1 more gallon of water and you're good to go.
4) Repeat this process after each dump.
USAGE: Extreme Tank Cleaner
Use entire container to clean 1 tank.
1) Make sure to fill holding tank between 1/2 and 3/4 full.
2) We recommend driving for 45 minutes prior to emptying tank. The motion and aggitation of driving is what helps this product work so well. If you are stationary and can NOT drive, then we recommend filling tank and adding the Extreme Cleaner and keeping it in your tank 24 hours.
3) Do not leave Extreme Cleaner in your tank longer than 4 days.
4) *This only needs to be done maybe once per year. Please note: This product is guaranteed to thoroughly clean your tank. If buildup or sludge was preventing your sensors from working this product will get them working again. Sensors are notoriously finicky. We recommend paying attention to what comes out of your tank. If a lot of gunk comes out but your sensors still are not working - there may be an issue with your sensors.
Extreme Cleaner Questions:
Is this the same as your other holding tank treatment?
NO! This product is designed to totally cleanse your holding tank, so that you can start fresh.
How long can I keep the Extreme Cleaner in my tank?
We recommend not leaving the extreme cleaner in your tank longer than 5 days.
What if I can't drive my trailer?
It is true, this product works best with aggitation, that being said, if you are in a fixed position, we recommend keeping the extreme cleaner in your tank for at least 48 hours.

We bought a used 2008 Diesel Pusher. Despite flushing and treating the black tank several times, there was a slight smell that we couldn't shake. Extreme tank cleaner was recommended on a Facebook Forum, so we gave it a try. We were exceptionally happy with the results, and NO MORE SMELLS. Happy Wife...Happy Camper! :-)

As the 2nd owner of this 5th wheel, I never thought about the original owners not using the black water holding tank properly. While my camper was getting some TLC and refurbishing at a repair shop, I was informed my black water holding tank was full of solids....I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed. Although I was not leaving the black water valve open, it occurred to me that maybe the previous owners were not aware of which valve was which. My dad informed me of this product, granted I've used it 2 times on 2 different moves from state to state, there is a major difference in water color when rinsing the tank, it's actually clear water today. I recommend this product to anyone who buys a used camper just to be safe. You never know what the previous owners did or didn't do.
